Step Aside Strawberries {Gluten-free Chocolate Blueberry Treats with Sea Salt}

Gluten-free Chocolate Blueberry Treats

These yummy treats are cool, juicy, and crunchy when you bite into them.  They are lightly sweetened with maple syrup and dark chocolate.  Gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan!

{Gluten-free Chocolate Blueberry Treats}

1/2 c almond flour

1 T coconut oil, softened

1 t ground flax seeds

1 t chia seeds

1 t grade B maple syrup

3/4 bar good quality dark chocolate (choose vegan/dairy-free if desired)

1/2 c organic blueberries

sea salt


In a small bowl, combine almond flour, coconut oil, maple syrup, flax, and chia seeds.  Stir until it forms a dough.

Line four normal size cupcake tins with paper liners.  Add the dough to the bottom of each and press down to form a ‘crust’.  Freeze for 10-15 minutes, until the crusts are solid.

Slowly melt the chocolate and allow to cool slightly.

After the crusts have cooled, add a few blueberries to each cupcake liner and drizzle with dark chocolate.  Sprinkle with coarse sea salt.  Refrigerate and serve cold.

    • Yep! Since this recipe calls for such a small amount of almond flour, you could even use a coffee bean grinder for the almonds rather than a food processor or vitamix type of appliance. Let me know how they turn out!!
